Interesting sentence…

For once, I learned something sort of cool at school. During English/Language Arts, my teacher presented us with the phrase “woman without her man is nothing” She asked us to add any punctuation to it without adding or changing any words. Go ahead and do this now.

I wrote down the sentence as “Woman: without her man, is nothing.” All of the males in the class wrote down very similar sentences. But the majority of the girls in the class wrote, “Woman: without her, man is nothing.” Apparently, how you rewrite the sentence is based on your gender. Males and females have different opinions on whether the woman needs the man or the man needs the woman.

The Bus Crashed…

Today, I decided to drive to school instead of actually taking the bus. Oddly enough, I began to hear that the bus I usually ride had crashed into a car that morning. Apparently, it had  smashed right into the one of my friend’s cars… Luckily, nobody was injured, although my bus driver mysteriously disappeared in the afternoon. So instead of our usually cheerful, happy go-lucky bus driver, we got some mean old looking man who hated his job. He said that he was some official from the bus company and that our bus was now his bus. A little odd, huh? By the way, thats not really my bus below.bcfe6184-9828-41f8-a7d7-95d35225e7da_ms.jpeg No buses were damaged in the making of this post. Credits to abcnews.com with the much more horrifying picture than what actually happened to my bus.

Latino + Politics…

Well, today I took the National Latin Exam, and let me tell you. It was pretty easy… although it came with some very strict rules.  It felt too much like an intense state test, even though it doesn’t count for anything. Apparently, it was actually supposed to be, um, fun. At the moment, I’m watching the Democratic Debate, which abruptly interrupted the Uconn basketball game I was originally watching… As you may have learned from yesterday’s post, I am an Obama supporter. Shocking, Yes I know. But I’m not necessarily a Hilary-hater, so don’t get on my case quite yet. While I do believe Hilary has some good ideas, I believe that Obama is the inspiration that this country needs…  ph2007072400927.jpg Credits to the Washington Post for the INTENSE picture…

What a (boring!) Day…

My first day of school was nothing short of dull. Almost nothing happened today, since we’re just during state test prep. I have the National Latin Exam tomorrow and state tests starting next week. I also had to break the news to my friends that I’m going to a new school next year. While I’m not actually moving, I’m still going to another school that’s much farther away. Hopefully, it will be a bit more exciting than where I’m going to now. Oh well, I guess change is usually for the better. Right!?barack-obama-change.jpgThanks to the msnbc/msn networks for the picture

Little Brother’s Videos.

Here are some of my little brother’s youtube videos. He’s, err…, obsessed with webkinz. If you don’t know what webkinz are, they are these little stuffed animals that you can play with online. They’re sorta cute, so try to enjoy them, even if they may be hard to understand.

My First Youtube Video!

About a month ago, I made my very first youtube video. Unfortunately, it’s not the best video and is of amateur quality. Oh well, I guess my movie director career wasn’t going anywhere anyway. Try to enjoy it, even if it might be a waste of 15 or so seconds. By the way, my username for youtube is bulldozer18k.

A Gift From Below!?

My little brother has become a bit nicer to be lately and well, I got a Christmas card from him. Yep, a Christmas card in February. At least it’s a present. It’s funny how little kids have the imagination to make a nicely drawn card, place it in an envelope with a hand-drawn stamp, and seal it with pieces of tape. Again, it’s also funny how I get my only Christmas card at the end of February. A couple of pictures are shown below.
